CEDA is an inspiring and growing community organisation run by local people from the Colchester area. Our purpose is to support local people by providing a range of enterprise, employment and community initiatives that:

The organisation is a cooperative community Alliance designed to help improve the lives of local people by working with them to come up with their own solutions to the issues that most affect them.
How to get involvedThe programme encourages greater community integration by supporting people’s individual development through voluntary participation and involvement in the community.
Our aim is to support new ideas that make a positive difference in the community and to meet the support needs of more vulnerable members of our community.
The WISE Scheme is a community enterprise development platform designed to help people engage in local economic development.
It takes time to create an effective platform from which to incubate community enterprise. It is a unique blend of entrepreneurial skill being deployed to maximise social impact within the community.
Where altruism is the goal and sustainable enterprise the means, the challenge is to create a realistic working operation that will contribute to the wellbeing of the community.
